2 April 2026 - Smithers’ Cleaning Products Europe returned to Amsterdam from 23-25 March 2026, bringing together industry leaders to explore innovations, regulatory developments and sustainability strategies shaping the future of the industry.
The conference welcomed its highest attendance in several years, reflecting growing engagement across the value chain, from manufacturers and ingredient suppliers to regulatory experts and emerging brands.
Ahead of the main event, a pre-conference workshop hosted by Keva Fragrances offered attendees a focused exploration of fragrance innovation and its role in product performance and consumer experience.
Medha Tawde Bhagat, Executive VP – Fragrances at Keva Fragrances, commented: “Cleaning is evolving from a focus on removal to a focus on intention, designing products that are effective, responsible, and experiential.
The Cleaning Products Europe conference was a valuable platform to exchange perspectives and shape a forward-looking vision for the category. Perfumery is emerging as a key differentiator, not only reinforcing the perception of cleanliness, but also driving consumer preference and emotional connection.”
Across the two-day programme, speakers from organisations including Procter & Gamble, Reckitt, Dow, Evonik, Persán and the Royal Society of Chemistry shared insights on sustainability, ingredient innovation, and the key challenges and growth opportunities facing the sector.
Following the Amsterdam event, the Cleaning Products conference series will continue its 2026 calendar with upcoming editions in June in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in September in Washington, D.C., USA.
